Minigolf Tournament in Brighton – BMGA Brighton Open – Saturday 21st June

On Saturday 21st June members of the British Minigolf Association (BMGA) and local players will descend on Peter Pan’s 12-hole Peter Adventure Golf course on Madeira Drive, Brighton to compete in the third annual BMGA Brighton Open.

Players will compete against each other over three rounds of stroke play Minigolf with a trophy for the winner, prizes for the top three players and ranking points up for grabs for players throughout the field.

New players are always welcome at BMGA events where they will be able to play competitive Minigolf with official BMGA rules and compete against the best players in Great Britain.

Entry to the competition costs £12.00 and players who enter the Brighton Open tournament, which tees-off at 10.45am on Saturday 21st, will be able to practice for free all day on Friday 20th June

Tournament organiser and Captain of the Brighton & Hove Minigolf Club Richard Penfound said, “Peter Pan's Adventure Golf course is a sculptured oasis of putting perfection, staffed by enthusiasts and enjoyed by Minigolf connoisseurs. The Brighton Open is as much a celebration of the course as it is an opportunity to compete for the prized trophy.”

Richard added, “The competition has been fairly close in the past. First place was decided by a playoff in 2006 and in 2007 Brighton’s own Jacob Stevenson dominated all afternoon and eventually won by four strokes. I am expecting it to be close again this year as most of the people playing are capable of winning it, so it comes down to who can keep their nerve and remain focussed over the three rounds of play.”
