Rocky Bullin to represent Great Britain in World Youth Championships of Minigolf

Great Britain’s top Junior Minigolfer will be flying the flag when he takes on the world’s best young players in the Minigolf Youth World Championships (YWC) in Budapest, Hungary on the 6th to 9th August 2008.

Over four days of competition on European Standard Beton and Swedish Felt courses Rocky Bullin, from St Leonards on Sea in East Sussex will compete against 100 players from 15 countries.

Rocky, who regularly plays in tournaments on the British Minigolf Association (BMGA) Tour is currently ranked 18th in the BMGA Order of Merit.

Rocky is also a former BMGA Midland Open Champion, defeating many of the sports top players when he lifted the title in 2006.

His parents Bill and Ruth, who are both former Minigolf Champions themselves, will coach Rocky at the tournament.

Pasi Aho, World Minigolfsport Federation (WMF) Youth Officer said, "The WMF is welcoming a record 15 nations, approximately 100 players and 50 officials to the YWC 2008 in Budapest, Hungary. For the first time ever Great Britain is one of these nations. I hope Rocky will experience a great YWC and will take the experience back home to pass on to other British youth players.”
