BMGA British Matchplay Championships
In the latest match in the season-long BMGA British Matchplay Championships Trevor ‘Pumbah’ Exall faced Rocky Bullin at the Hastings Seafront Crazy Golf course to determine who would advance to the Quarter Finals and a clash with Sealand’s Anthony Pope.
In highlights from the match: Exall won the toss and decided to put pressure on Rocky by going first, after a four the initiative was quickly switched to Rocky who went 1up. Level two's were traded until Hole 5 when Rocky got a superb ace to go 2up.
At the turn Rocky was still 2up and playing well. Exall got an ace on the 12th followed by a monstrous ace on the 13th to tie the match. The match stayed tied until the 16th when Rocky got an Ace and Exall missed, and so Rocky was 1up with 2 to play. The 17th was tied and at the 18th Rocky got a two leaving Exall needing an Ace to save the match. Exall went for the Aceman's line and incredibly the ball fell in, the crowd gasped and the match was drawn.
And so onto sudden death, Exall went first getting an Ace and with Rocky missing Trevor Exall won.
Moving into the Quarter Finals Trevor Exall said “Thanks a lot and bad luck Rocky, brilliant game.”
