Minigolf report – BMGA Kent Open 2008, Margate, Kent

The British Minigolf Association (BMGA) Tour returned to Margate, Kent on Sunday 2nd November as Strokes Adventure Golf course hosted the final tournament of the BMGA’s 2008 season, the Kent Open.

26 BMGA Tour Professionals competed in three rounds of competitive Minigolf in the BMGA Kent Open.

The tournament winner was Andy Exall from Tunbridge Wells with a three round total of 105 (-3). In a career best finish Dave Forrest of the Kent Minigolf Club was runner-up with a total of 107 (-1). Third place went to the London Minigolf Club’s Bill Bullin with a total of 109 (+1).

Andy Exall said “This was a great win for me on one of my favourite courses. I would like to thank the Woods family for their hospitality and also my playing partners for today. I’m looking forward to returning to Margate in 2009.”

Saturday 1st November also saw the culmination of the season long Kent Invitational Tournament (KIT). This year it was won by guest player Tim ‘Ace Man’ Davies. Runner-up was Rocky Bullin, with Sean Homer in third place; Gary Davies ranked fourth and Matt Wood in fifth spot.
